Hajredin Kuci, deputy leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), told Lajmi that the PDK has not discussed his candidacy for the post of Assembly Speaker. Zeri reported today that the PDK is considering proposing Kuci for the post. “This has not been discussed in the PDK,” Kuci was quoted as saying. The PDK won the 8 June national elections but is facing difficulties with the formation of the government after the creation of an opposition bloc by the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Initiative for Kosovo (Nisma). The first battle between the PDK and the opposition coalition will be over the post of assembly speaker.
