Serwer warns of Russia's influence in the Balkans (media)

The US Balkans analyst from the Johns Hopkins University, Daniel Serwer, told Voice of America that the countries in the Balkans should not ignore Russia’s attempts to influence the Euro-Atlantic integration processes. “Serbia still flirts with Russia because Russia has influence. Russia exercises its influence in a legitimate way through its diplomacy and other ways which may not be legitimate,” Serwer said adding that no politician in the Balkans can ignore the fact that Russia was behind the conspiracy to kill President of Montenegro, then Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic. "That is a serious consideration," he added.
