The primary school pupils from different parts of Kosovo performed and so made a children's festival in Gracanica last night. Acting, singing and dancing have been shown on the stage of the Culture Center in Gracanica, reports KIM radio.
The program entitled "The Month of Child's Smile'' was prepared by 120 pupils of several elementary schools from central Kosovo, Strpce and other areas.
With the help of teachers of Music and Fine Arts, Lazar Danic and Dejan Kitic and director Dragana Zoricic, the primary school pupils performed the play '' Hedgehog and his little house,'' while the actors were accompanied by the choir of the elementary school ''King Milutin'' as well as the choir ''Simonida'' in Gracanica.
"Preparations lasted more than three months. In the beginning, the children read the text and had rehearsals. 120 children participated and the work was a little exhausting, but the children were wonderful, hardworking and I am very satisfied," said teacher of Music Culture at the King Milutin Elementary School, Lazar Danic.
In addition to the show, the audience was able to see the ballet play of girls from the Gracanica School of Ballet, but also the masquerade.
A particularly emotional moment was the performance of Djordje Balasevic's song "Just May There be no War".
This event was organized at the initiative of NGO "Young Active Gracanica,'' and UNMIK mission supported the organisation of ''The Month of Child's Smile'' project.
