The Constitutional Court is not the government (Koha)

Political analyst Halil Matoshi criticizes the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) for the current political stalemate. He argues that new elections are not the right solution for the political crisis, “and if the PDK keeps insisting on new elections, the international factor will say NO to the idea”. “The PDK, aware that no political party wants to enter a coalition government with it, has intentionally blocked the entire system by addressing the Constitutional Court, which in the absence of political agreements, serves as a despotic government. This court is not a government that derives from the people (in fact it is not even a regular court) but only an interpreter of the Constitution and not the rules of the political game … By postponing deadlines, the Constitutional Court wants to buy time for the PDK to reach political deals with MPs or to influence a split in the opposition coalition.”
