Recognition by Vatican (Tribuna)
The outgoing Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Petrit Selimi, writes that the visit of Pope to Albania, was the story which dominated media during the weekend. Also, over 300 thousand Albanians who waited on him, published thousands of pictures in social networks, while government and opposition politicians spoke about the importance of this visit.
However, a marginal group, in the dark side of the internet, criticized the Holly See for non-recognition of Kosovo. A leader of an opposition party even wrote an open letter to Pope on the matter, writes Selimi. Accusations in social networks for non-recognition of Kosovo, and letters written to Pope through internet portals do not help, stresses Selimi, adding that a visit to Mother Teresa Cathedral or a visit to Decani/Decan Monastery, to ask Dom Lush Gjergji or Father Sava if they need any help, would help much more.
