If the Prime Minister did his work (Insajderi)

Following reports that the brother of Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa sought asylum in Germany and France during the 2015 mass migrant influx of people of Kosovo, Parim Olluri, co-founder of the investigative news website Insajderi which first published the story, writes in an opinion piece that instead of dealing with stories on the public broadcaster’s news editions, Prime Minister Mustafa should have focused on finding ways to improve the healthcare in Kosovo. Mustafa said his brother applied for asylum in order to get medical treatment for a condition which was untreatable in Kosovo but Olluri claims that while Mustafa is not the main person responsible for the alarming situation in Kosovo hospitals, he is responsible for “copying his predecessors.”  “The lack of his [Mustafa’s] government’s work in improving the healthcare system is demonstrated by his brother’s asylum request,” writes Olluri adding that Mustafa should have addressed concerns of poor management raised by the story instead of turning it into a personal issue.  If PM Mustafa did his work, no one in Kosovo would have had to seek a way out by travelling illegally through Serbia and Hungary in an effort to enter a European Union country, further argues Olluri.
