Croatia, Kosovo's lawyer in Brussels (Koha Ditore)

A press release issued by Kosovo’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, informs that after the meeting with the Croatian President, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister Hashim Thaci met with the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Josip Leko, with whom he discussed extension of the cooperation in parliamentary field. Speaker Leko said that Croatia was and continues to be strong promoter of visa liberalization and integration of Kosovo in the European Union. “Our Deputies at the European Parliament have always kept the issue of Kosovo high in their agenda. We will continue to be Kosovo’s lawyers in Brussels,” said Leko.

Deputy Prime Minister Thaci stressed that Kosovo continues to strengthen its position in the international arena. “Croatia has been our very important partner during all the state-building phases and we value your so-far support, however, we still count on your parliamentary support, especially on lobbying to the countries that have not recognized us, for the membership at the Council of Europe,” Thaci reportedly said.
