Jaksic: Belgrade is contradictory (RTK2)

The fifth session of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija Assembly was held in northern Mitrovica, with the only item on the agenda – the current political and security situation in the north.

MP Marko Jaksic said at the meeting that they are the only legitimate representatives of the Serbian people in Kosovo. He criticized the official Belgrade because it forced Kosovo Serbs to participate in elections organized by Pristina authorities.

"How come that Belgrade can be against Kosovo's independence, and forces the Serbs to be part of the government and the Assembly of Kosovo, it is not possible, the basic logic says that it's not right," said Jaksic.

The deputies of the Assembly, which is not recognized by Belgrade, condemn an order for the detention of the former and current president of the municipality of Zubin Potok, Slavisa Ristic and Stevan Vulovic.

They invite all Serbs, employees in Kosovo's institutions, to submit an irrevocable resignation. They require the President of the Assembly of Serbia urgent scheduling of local elections in Kosovo and annulment of the Brussels agreement.

"You said and lied to us that you do not recognize Kosovo's independence, then you recognized license plates, driver's licenses, their laws, you’ve set their border, recognized their president Atifete Jahjaga, that you did," concluded Jovic, alluding to the Belgrade authorities.

Former chief of the Kosovska Mitrovica District, Radenko Nedeljkovic said that the secret list for arrests of Kosovo Serbs exists; on it are the names of 14 people from Zubin Potok.

At the end of the session delegates unanimously adopted all 9 conclusions of the agenda and invited the Serbian Constitutional Court not to delay the assessment of the constitutionality of the Brussels Treaty.
