Mihajlovic: Pristina’s goal is to have the least possible number of Serbs in elections (Politika)
Director of the Serbian government’s office for cooperation with media Milivoje Mihajlovic stated today that Pristina exerts pressure in continuity, aimed at suppressing Serbs in the parliament and reducing their political influence, and that CEC’s decision aims at having the least possible number of Serbs turning out in elections.
Mihajlovic reminded on similar situation in case of latest local elections, when a sort of incidental situation was created and when Serbs were on the ‘verge’ of participation in those elections. “Now we have repetition of that situation in a sort of administrative manner, when they are trying, with certain commissions, to manipulate with documents adopted by the Kosovo Assembly,” said Mihajlovic in the morning news of the Radio Television of Serbia.
“They didn’t manage to have divided Serbs appearing in local elections, they participated with one force, with the joint list. This time that list, too, is dominant in that Serbian corpus, when it comes to Kosovo parliament, and that is what bothers Pristina and future authorities in Pristina,” said Mihajlovic.
