Rikalo: Reduced number of Serbs on electoral roll (KIM radio)

Central Election Commission yesterday adopted the electoral roll with 1.782,454 voters with the right to vote on 8 June.

CEC Member Nenad Rikalo said that number of Serbs with the right to vote is reduced in comparison with local elections held in November 2013.

“This time, too, there are more voters than inhabitants of Kosovo. The figure is bigger for around 40.000 voters,” said Rikalo.

Reflecting on cancelation of the elections campaign and activities of political leaders Rikalo said that such reaction is justified and that ‘a wise decision of Serbian politicians’ should follow.

“The room is left for some other decisions. It is not only up to Serbs, but it also depends from how will international community react, and Albanians, too. It remains to see what will be the reaction of the official Belgrade on how to best resolve the problem,” said Rikalo to RTV KIM.
