Boycott of the election campaign announced from Gračanica/Graçanicë too (RTK2)

Srpska Ticket condemned most sharply the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) to change electoral boards and unofficial announcement on division of mandates and possibility that threshold for minority tickets could be set to 70.000 votes.

Following decision of mayors of northern municipalities to freeze election activities due to CEC’s decision on composition of electoral boards and features of Kosovo’s statehood on ballots, Srpska Ticket also said that they most sharply condemn CEC’s decision.

“We want to inform the public that we are giving up on continuation of the campaign and that we demand from CEC to abolish such decisions and clearly deny similar announcements,”  reads the statement which  adds that representatives of Serbs, mayors and candidates on Srpska Ticket, south and north from Ibar/Ibër River are united in this stance.

Srpska Ticket called all relevant factors, including international community to ‘react on bold violation of the law which directly jeopardizes Brussels agreement and right on democratic expression of the will of communities in Kosovo’.

Due to such decision, all election activities of Srpska Ticket are canceled in Stanišor/Stanishor, Šilovo/Shillovë and Ranilug/Ranilugë where principal candidate on Srpska Ticket Branslav Stojanović, and candidates for MPs Slobodan Petrović and Srdjan Popović, were due to attend the presentation of candidates from Kosovo Pomoravlje.
