EULEX persistently ignoring the case of family Jovanovic (Vesti)

Family Jovanovic from village Preoce in Gračanica/Graçanica Municipality has sent more than 50 letters so far to different addresses of the EU mission in Kosovo, including the Head of EULEX, where they presented their suspicion on corruption since their property case has been dragged by courts for more than six years now.

“Behavior of EULEX, in the course of our struggle to preserve our property, leads us believe in claims presented by the EULEX prosecutor Maria Bamieh. We are sure that corruption was deeply involved in our process and it is a high time for investigation into the behavior of EULEX officials,” said the owner of the usurped property, Dejan Jovanovic, to Vesti.

At the parcel which belonged to Serbs, at the outskirts of Gračanica/Graçanicë, company Viktoria Invest from Suva Reka/Suharekë has invested EUR 50 million in constructing a new settlement Marigona, and usurped a portion of land owned by family Jovanovic.

“The case could end in a month, but it lasts for six and a half years now. While we waste our time at court, entire town has been under construction there, what is completely ignored by the court…It is quite clear that there was an interest here for the case to drag-on in order that they could finish the constructions,” said Jovnanovic and added that his family was not even allowed to present evidence.
