Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama said he was surprised that someone in Serbia could be provoked by position that Kosovo is an independent state. "For me it is fascinating that this can provoke you. That is not something I dreamed. It is the reality. Many countries that Serbia cooperates with recognized Kosovo as an independent state," said Rama.

He said that Albania respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia. "We fully respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia. I would like if we could move on, hand in hand for a better future of our children and we will do everything possible to prevent the suffering of our children," he said.

Greater Albania is outdated myth, Rama said, noting that there is no evidence that there is a policy in this regard. "Our project is a United Europe with Serbia and Albania. Greater Albania is outdated myth that has nothing to do with us, "he said. "Show me at least one proof of advocating for Greater Albania whether in my career or career of any Albanian politician," he said.

Rama believes that the past must be overcome, and that the future of both countries is in Europe. "…and to give an example to the new generations that we are mature and that we can overcome our differences. Our enemies are public debt, unemployment and isolation, "he said. Rama said he hopes that the talks will be continued in Tirana next year.

Albanian PM said that he would not mind if Serbian PM, Vucic, would express his position on Kosovo in Tirana.

After a joint press conference with Serbian counterpart in Belgrade, where Vucic accused Rama for provocation (since Rama called Serbia to recognize Kosovo), Albanian PM gave a statement to the US Agency Associated Press (AP):  "I felt relaxed, because the guest has the freedom to say whatever he wants," said Rama.

AP recalled incident with the drone at the football game in Belgrade, which caused conflicts between players and fans. "This game showed how sensitive and fragile relations between the two countries are, '' said Rama. "That convinced me that this is the right thing to do," he said, adding: "To communicate, discuss, negotiate and agree that we disagree."
