Displaced in Djakovica/Gjakova on 14 February (Kossev)

In a written reply to KoSSev, representative of the Association of Displaced from Djakovica/Gjakova, Simonida Ašanin, said that the next visit to Đakovica/Gjakova due to memorial service is planned for 14 February. Displaced Serbs from this city, meanwhile, had a meeting with the US Ambassador in Kosovo, Tracey Ann Jacobson, as well as with the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the UN in Kosovo, Jennifer Brush. As Ašanin added, talks with the subject of the rights of Serbs in Kosovo and in Djakovica/Gjakova are still ongoing. Djakovica/Gjakova citizens demand that "the fate of 247,000 Serbs expelled from Kosovo to be in the agenda of the Brussels talks," and that they consider it "one of the main topics and the basis of the Brussels agreement". Association of Đakovica/Gjakova citizens is a multinational organization which has support from France, Greece, USA, Denmark, Norway, Australia and others.
