Northern Kosovo: More donations but problems remain (KIM Radio)
Participants at today’s debate in Čaglavica/Çagllavicë said that with the integration of northern Kosovo there are more donations along with more investments in development, however problems remain during implementation of projects.
It was pointed out at the debate in Media Center in Čaglavica/Çagllavicë that almost all companies in northern Kosovo have little business relations with other regions. Beside the limited market, problems faced by the entrepreneurs in the north are lack of subventions, poor infrastructure, problems with the electricity supply and political instability.
Representative from the EU Office in Kosovo said that program was developed last year with the goal to finance projects in northern Kosovo amounting to EUR 38,5 million in following years.
However, director of the NGO ‘Investigative-Analytical Center’ Momčilo Arlov argued that realization of those projects is faced with a range of obstacles related to the specific situation in Kosovo.
