Jevtic: Better cooperation leads to sustainable return (KIM radio,Tanjug)
A conference on improvement of cooperation between the majority and minority communities, as well as between the central and local government in Kosovo, was organized in Pristina in the scope of the USAID Advancing Kosovo Together (AKT) program.
At the Effective Representation of Communities' Interests in Local and Central Government in Kosovo conference held on Tuesday, Kosovo Minister for Communities and Return Dalibor Jevtic said that improvement in cooperation between local and central authorities creates conditions for sustainable return.
He also pointed to the necessity of exercising all the rights of minority communities in Kosovo, the relevant ministry issued in a statement.
"By participating in this meeting we wanted to raise to a higher level the cooperation with the municipal offices for communities and return which are not under the direct jurisdiction of the Ministry for Communities and Return," Jevtic said.
This way we can jointly resolve issues standing in the way of return and of exercising the rights of non-majority population, he said.
The Ministry for Communities and Return will launch regular activities in terms of joint coordination with all municipal offices for communities and return, Jevtic concluded.
