Spahiu: Self-Determination’s threats are dangerous (TV Most/Tanjug)

Political analyst from Kosovo Nexhemedin Spahiu said that threats involving violence coming from the opposition party Self-Determination due to creation of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities (A/CSM) could be dangerous only if supported by the Kosovo authorities.

Spahiu said to Tanjug that protests announced by the Self-Determination movement could lead to destabilization of situation in Kosovo only if, for example, Democratic Party of Kosovo would support it. “If only opposition is involved in protests, without participation of authorities, than I believe that there won’t be destabilization of situation in Kosovo,” said Spahiu. He further said that certain agreement should be reached in Brussels tomorrow, even though the negotiations pace is slow, and reminded that interests of Kosovo and Serbia, and the entire region, is that agreement is reached as soon as possible.

Representatives of the Self-Determination movement have announced earlier that they will stage radical protest against creation of the A/CSM, since they claim it will lead to ethnic division of Kosovo.
