Expectations from the Brussels talks (RTS)

Chairman of the Serbian Parliament Committee for Kosovo and Metohija Milovan Drecun said that it is the time that process of normalization of relations deriving from the first part of the Brussels agreement round up, which would allow the formation of the Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) in Kosovo and Metohija.

Drecun emphasized that the ZSO is fundamental pillar of the Brussels agreement and pointed out that agreements on energy and telecommunications are almost reached.  Chairman of the Committee for Kosovo and Metohija said that Pristina was not ready to accept the executive powers of ZSO and that it was under the pressure of Brussels and Washington to accept executive jurisdictions, what was agreed.

Drecun said that Kosovo Foreign Minister Hashim Thaci presents disturbing factor. “Thaci is faced with the possibility of raising indictments against him and his associates by the Special Court, which will be established for members of the KLA. Therefore he resorts to the unacceptable political provocations and manoeuvres. Thaci's illegal secret service prepares fabricated indictments with the intent to initiate hundreds of new cases against members of the former and current Serbian security forces and many people who were in civilian and local authorities,” said Drecun.

After ZSO, within Brussels talks should be discussed the issue of property. Drecun warned that Pristina wants to adopt a law for the creation of the agency for verifying property, in such a way preparing insidious plan to prevent Serbs, whose property is confiscated, to return it.

Commenting on the decision to extend the detention to Oliver Ivanovic, Drecun pointed out that it became political process with "the same handwriting as in the case of General Momir Stojanovic and many new indictments that will appear."
