Ambassador O’Connell: The situation in Kosovo is very dangerous (RTK2)
British Ambassador to Kosovo Ruairi O'Connell says that Kosovo faces a difficult situation and that dialogue is the only means to solve problems.
"The situation in Kosovo is very dangerous. I hope that each of the parties would use dialogue to solve problems," said O’Connell for the RTV 21.
According to him, MPs who trample the law in democratic countries report to the police themselves, as well as that in the UK, MPs who "trample" the law are arrested.
"I do not want to comment on the behaviour of the police. If in the UK (MP) would trample the law, he would be arrested, or he would not be arrested at all because he would report himself to the police," said O'Connell.
He said that the place of the opposition is in the Assembly and that it should benefit parliament for discussions on various issues.
O'Connell has asked the respect of the institutions and not to use violence.
"The use of violence and disrespect for institutions do not help the solution of the crisis," said the Ambassador.
