Soon solution for Brezovica Ski Resort (KiM radio)
The Serbian government will soon offer a solution for the Brezovica Ski Resort in the form of an investment program, which will provide sufficient legal guarantees for safe investments, stated the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo. “There are on-going court cases in Kosovo launched by the "Fond Inex Intereksport", while "Ski Resorts of Serbia" announced initiation of an international arbitration related to the case of Brezovica Ski Resort,” was stated.
The Government in Pristina, at its session, extended the deadline till 30 May 2016 to the Franco-Andorran consortium. Till that day consortium should provide funding of projects envisaged by the concession agreement on investing in the ski resort in Brezovica. This decision of the Pristina government was opposed by the Minister of local government administration, Ljubomir Maric.
The Serbian government has warned that it is a legally problematic procedure and that investor is not credible. Within the plan to privatize the ski resort in Brezovica, Pristina made the decision on expropriation of land and buildings, including the hotel "Molika", the mountain lodge "Stojkova kuca" and ski lifts.
