Internally displaced Serbs, beneficiaries of the free legal aid projects, have been left without lawyers’ representation in front of Kosovo courts. The paper was contacted by several families with complicated cases in front of the courts in Kosovo towns and informed that there is no one to represent them at hearings in February and March. The irony is that funds for the free legal aid were approved long time ago by the European Union, but the money is still not used due to various procedures.

The paper did not manage to obtain any answer from the stakeholders about when would free legal aid be provided to beneficiaries, whereas the EU Office in Belgrade communicated that they have provided funds for continuation of the project and that it could continue without any break, however they added that they are not in charge of the selection of executors of the project and that tenders are in hands of the Serbian Government.
