Serbian List will not support Thaci (Vecernje Novosti)

The agenda of the Kosovo Assembly for Wednesday states that the election of the president of Kosovo will take place on that day. The leader of the Serbian List, Slavko Simic, said to Novosti that they did not negotiate with the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) about support to their candidate Hashim Thaci.

“Election of the president has not been mentioned anywhere in our coalition agreement with those parties. Every MP of ‘Srpska’ should bear in mind that they represent a certain electorate and that they should not vote on the basis of their own will, instead they should vote following consultations and and in line with the will of people they represent in the parliament in Pristina,” said Simic.

He argues that none of the candidates will have their support without an agreement on the implementation of the basic principles of the coalition agreement between the Serbian List and  PDK and LDK, and which imply, among other, the creation of the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities.
