"We believe that EULEX, only at full capacity, is a guarantee of security for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, especially in the current situation where there are numerous problems regarding the rights of Serbs in terms of property and personal security," Djurić said.

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija has expressed concern over the treatment which the Serbs have before the courts in Kosovo, stressing that one must take additional steps in order to guarantee legal security to the Serbian people. Djurić emphasized the case of Oliver Ivanović and four Serbs who remain in custody following the recent arrests near Pec / Peja, stressing helplessness of the Serbs to protect their property before the courts in Kosovo.
