Dialogue: Dispute over the property of Telekom Serbia in Kosovo (Večernje Novosti)

The paper writes that the main reason for the failure of the new round of negotiations in Brussels is that Pristina had attempted to “turn around” the agreement of August last year, concerning the assets of ‘Telekom Srbija’ in Kosovo.

According to the August agreement, ‘Telekom Srbija’ would register a daughter-company in Kosovo which would receive the assets of its branch in Kosovo - ‘Telekom Kosovo’, while Pristina delegation is now proposing that the company which would be registered by Telekom is given the “property of Kosovo” for the use with symbolic compensation.

This model could later be used by Pristina as a model for settling every property related issue in Kosovo and because of this Belgrade is insisting that the matter of ownership is treated separately in the dialogue.
