Dacic meets with Malaysian deputy PM, Foreign Minister (media)
Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on Wednesday met with Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Foreign Minister Anifah Aman - whose country presides over the UN SC - to discuss Thursday's SC meeting on Kosovo, as well as ways to improve Serbian-Malaysian relations.
Meetings with officials of countries presiding over the UN SC commonly take place ahead of regular sessions on Kosovo, Dacic noted after the meeting in New York.
However, more attention was devoted to bilateral relations, Dacic said.
"Malaysia has abolished visas for our citizens. The Serbian government will very soon take a reciprocal measure to relieve Malaysian citizens of the requirement to obtain visas. Signing an agreement on mutual abolition of visas will be important over the long term," he said.
Contacts and economic cooperation need to be boosted, too, he said.
