Rakic: There is no agreement on the demolition of the wall (Radio KIM)

North Mitrovicë/ Mitrovica Mayor Goran Rakić said that any agreement with Prishtinë/Priština delegation was not reached in relation to the supporting wall in this city, and on which demolition political representatives of Kosovo Albanians are insisting. Rakić said in a statement that any agreement, except that both sides should refrain from inflammatory rhetoric and unilateral actions that might jeopardize the entire process of the Brussels dialogue, was not discussed. "I expect from EU Special Representative in Kosovo to confute writing of Koha Ditore", said Rakic and added that he has no mandate to change already reached agreements between Belgrade and Prishtinë/Priština. "Respecting the recent agreement reached between Belgrade and Prishtinë/Priština in Brussels and at the proposal of the EU High Representative Federica Mogherini that all parties refrain from making any inflammatory statements, I do not want to comment the objective of such a fabrication, as well as yesterday's provocative rhetoric of Mayor of South Mitrovica Agim Bahtiri. This all is not accidentally, just two-three days before the continuation of dialogue in Brussels, "he said. Rakić said that once again he calls on all parties to respect the agreement and be constructive, rather than giving inflammatory statements or fictional news in the media. Local self-government in the northern part of Mitrovicë/ Mitrovica will organize the demolition of the retaining wall in the vicinity of the north side of the bridge over the Ibar River, writes Prishtinë/Priština daily "Koha Ditore", stating that this agreement is reached over the weekend between representatives of authorities in north Mitrovicë/ Mitrovica, the Kosovo Government and the Office of European Union in Prishtinë/Priština. According to the daily, retaining wall will be removed because it makes difficulties to intervene in emergency situations in the northern part of Mitrovicë/ Mitrovica, in case of fire and other disasters. Daily says that the agreement was achieved by mayor of North Mitrovicë/ Mitrovica Goran Rakic, Prime minister Isa Mustafa and Head of EU Office in Prishtinë/Priština Natalya Apostolova. The daily said that the meeting was held during the last weekend, out of the public's attention, and that three sides have agreed that the agreement itself should have the status of secret, in order to avoid possible negative reactions.
