Rikalo: Allegations that I mistreated Albanians ill-intended (Beta, KIM Radio)
Kosovo Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Rural Development, Nenad Rikalo rejected accusations that he mistreated Albanians during the war in Kosovo, calling them untrue and ill-intended. Rikalo said the aim of such accusations is to discredit him, Srpska Lista and the newly established Kosovo Government, Serbian media reported.
Rikalo also added that from 2001 to 2003, he worked at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and since 2003 he is actively engaged in the civil sector working on reconciliation among communities and social development.
He was also a member of the SOROS Board of Directors together with Shpend Ahmeti and Ilir Deda, and in 2003 he participated along with Albin Kurti in the establishment of the KAN organization (Kosovo Action Network), but ceased cooperation with Kurti following the establishment of the Self-determination movement.
“Those running campaign can continue inventing the lies. However, the picked the wrong man. I am in Kosovo for the last 18 years, I am a public figure, always present in the media and if someone’s aim was to intimidate me, then they failed,” Rikalo said.
