CEC expects regular elections and in the north (KIM radio)
With fewer problems with voter lists in some places, all polls for local elections are open on time this morning, the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Valdete Daka, confirmed to KIM radio. The CEC president expects the elections to run regularly, especially in the north of Kosovo, where there are the biggest fears that an irregularity might occur.
"I hope that there will be no problems, we, as the Central Election Commission, did everything in our power. There is a large presence of the OSCE, Kosovo Police and other groups that are authorized for security in that part of Kosovo. Well, we hope that everything will be fine and that this vote will take place properly," said Valdete Daka.
The polling stations were opened on time this morning, says Daka.
"There have been minor problems with voter lists in some places, but it was overcome, so I can confirm that polling stations are opened on time."
