Mitrovica: Fire caught three vehicles, no injures (KoSSev portal)
Two vehicles were burned down and one was damaged due to the fire that broke out early this morning in Mitrovica North, KoSSev portal reported. No one was injured, but material damages are reported.
Although police preliminary considered the fire broke out due to electrical installation, Deputy Commander of the Kosovo Police Region North, Besim Hoti, confirmed to KoSSev portal that the police doubts it is an arson case.
KoSSev unofficially learnt the two vehicles are the property of the Kosovo Albanian baker, and in his yard the vehicles were burned down.
KoSSev also said in case the information on the arson is confirmed, it would be 9th case of burned vehicles in Mitrovica this year, and 24th since 2014. KoSSev came to this figure based on the confirmation from the police, the portal said.
Kosovo Police Captain Nenad Djuric said to lawyer Nebojsa Vlajic following his request made earlier this summer, that since the establishment of the Kosovo Police North Directorate at the end of 2012, the police registered 14 cases of burning vehicles, and out of 40 registered cases that apart from burning vehicles also include throwing of explosive devices, 5 cases are resolved.
