Opposition on extraordinary parliamentary elections in Serbia (BETA, B92, Danas)
Leader of Free Citizens Movement (PSG), Sasa Jankovic said that the opening of a theme of parliamentary elections is the best evidence that governing Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) is losing the local elections in the Serbian capital, Serbian media reported.
“They would call for a referendum on constitutional changes, Eurovision song contest, all together, just to make senseless the only elections we should have in accordance with the law and the ones they are losing,” Jankovic said.
He said the fear of SNS to lose Belgrade is great, but nothing would help them as the unstoppable process has started, people are becoming self-aware and resisting to the dictatorship.
Leader of the Democratic Party (DS) Dragan Sutanovac yesterday said that the SNS while talking about extraordinary parliamentary elections is trying to divert attention of the public from the messages they have received from the USA administration.
Meanwhile, Dveri Movement assessed the current authorities have no reasons for extraordinary elections, however, the movement is ready for them.
“From governing position there are no reasons for the elections, but there are to be found in blackmailing of the collation partners, bad rating in Belgrade, and the most because of the eventual giving up on “ the hot cake” – surrender of Kosovo and Metohija,” Dveri representatives said to Danas daily.
