USA Embassy: USA supports dialogue that EU is leading (Danas)
The USA Embassy in Belgrade found out about requests that the USA would take part in the Brussels dialogue from the Serbian media, the USA Embassy in Belgrade told Danas daily.
Asked to comment if they know more than what appears in the media and is related to the involvement of the USA in the Brussels agreement, and whether such reporting is accurate when it comes to the involvement and names that are being mentioned as possible persons to carry out that job, the USA Embassy said they are also reading about that in the media, Danas reported further.
“The United States of America continue to support the dialogue process, led by the EU. Our hope and expectations are that through this process Serbia and Kosovo would continue normalization of relations, that this normalization would improve the lives of all Kosovo citizens and that it will impact strengthening of a regional stability,” Danas daily reproted.
Earlier, chief of the Serbian diplomacy, Ivica Dacic said that “potential involvement of the USA in Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, as proposed in the latest Atlantic Council report, is not a proposal of an official American administration”.
In interpretation of that statement to the Serbian media, Dacic refuted claims of the Kosovo leaders, who were calling for that, Danas daily reported.
