Joksimovic: USA present, no changes in format of dialogue (RTK2)
Centre of Foreign Policy Director, Aleksandra Joksimovic said to RTK 2 that the format of the Brussels dialogue would not change, but the USA will be more active in the process of normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina.
Joksimovic also said she does not believe legally binding document would request from Serbia to recognize Kosovo, but would seek that both Belgrade and Pristina unimpeded move towards the European integration.
She sees greater involvement of the USA in all open issues in the Western Balkans, until it becomes stable and integrated into the European Union. According to her, the USA is pledging for integration of the countries in the region into the EU, considering it would resolve issues from the last few decades.
Commenting on the proposal of the Atlantic Council to have a permanent USA military presence in South-Eastern Europe and to join the EU efforts to bring to an end talks between Belgrade and Pristina, Joksimovic said she sees it as an announcement of an active American participation.
According to her, USA is constantly present in the Brussels talks, and she expects they would continue to have influence on participants in the negotiation process, RTK 2 reported.
