Dacic: I would like extraordinary elections (RTS, FoNet, Danas)
Serbian Minster of Foreign Affairs and leader of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) Ivica Dacic said yesterday he is pleased with the results of the local elections (that took place in five Serbian municipalities) and he would like to have an extraordinary parliamentary elections, Danas daily reported.
Speaking for the RTS main news edition, Dacic said that SPS have achieved an extraordinary results at this elections in a coalition with the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in the municipalities of Pecinci, Negotin and Kostolac.
He further said he has been thinking for a while if a coalition of the two biggest parties in Serbia is possible and it turned out it is.
Dacic said the SPS is pleased with the results in Mionica municipality as well, where SPS run together with its traditional coalition party United Serbia (JS) but also with the Serbian Radical Party (SRS)
He added that SPS never until now was in a coalition with Vojislav Seselj’s SRS, however the situation and the balance of power in Mionica made them accept to be on a joint list, Danas daily further reported.
Asked if coalition in Mionica is an announcement of cooperation with the SRS, Dacic replied it is not, but that all results should have in mind.
