Jevtic: Violence against Serb returnees (RTS)

On the occasion of another incident that took place on Saturday evening, when in a household of Snezana Dubljevic was set on fire hay, straw, barn and pigsty in the village of Suvi Lukavac, the deputy prime minister of Kosovo and the minister for communities and returns, Dalibor Jevtic, assessed that it was about, as he said, "organized violence against Serb returnees in the municipality of Istok", reports RTS.

"The fourth incident in just seven days in the municipality of Istok and the protests in Djakovica is a clear indication that the violence against the Serbs has been organized on the scene. This is unacceptable and very serious," warns Dalibor Jevtic, RTS reports.

Jevtic points that in the days of the holidays Serbs have no peace and this immediately must stop.

"I demand from all those responsible to react immediately, I demand from those who give guarantees that these incidents will not be happening to immediately move from the words to the actions. I tell Serb returnees not to give in, and not to give up, just as Bogdan Mitrovic did not," Jevtic said after receiving information about a new attack on Serbs in Istok.

The Dubljevic family returned to Suvi Lukavac in 2005. Otherwise, all Serbs living in this part of Kosovo, as Minister Jevtic was told, are very upset and in fear, reported RTS.
