“Kosovo – Reality, treason, sale or deception, how social networks in Serbia write about internal dialogue” (Blic)
Blic daily writes today that internal dialogue on Kosovo and Metohija is held intensively not only in institutions and public, but also on social networks, and a term “treason” is used in most cases to describe current internal talks on the southern Serbian province.
According to the Centre for New Media “Liber” research out of the total number of posts on Facebook and Twitter, 38.6 percent a has neutral stance on dialogue, but the same percentage presents assumptions on the future of Kosovo.
16.8 percent support the dialogue, while 44.9 percent have partially or completely negative stance, Blic daily reported.
Almost half of the participants in conversations on Kosovo dialogue believe it is about “treason”. The numbers include 42.6 percent on Facebook and 15.1 percent on Twitter.
In addition to “treason” social media in Serbian also speak about “accepting Kosovo reality”. Such stance is present in 24.7 percent of stances on Facebook and 16 percent on Twitter.
Internal dialogue on Kosovo and Metohija is also seen as “sale” of Kosovo and “deception of citizens”. 18.5 percent of Facebook comments and 24.2 percent on Twitter perceive dialogue as such, Blic daily further reported.
Also, 40 percent of those writing on social networks believe that Kosovo issue is being “resolved now,” while 28 percent think the Kosovo issue will be resolved later.
The “Liber” research also said in “Kosovo communication” the most present are “(dis)qualifications” 37.2 percent, “assumptions and guessing” 29 percent, while the least present are “threats” 4.5 percent, “slander” 2.4 percent and “calls for action” 8.5 percent, Blic daily reported.
