Statement on attacks against TV Most (TV Most)
Editorial boards of TV Most, RTV Puls, Radio Kosovska Mitrovica and RTV Gracanica in the strongest terms condemn outcry against our colleague Ljiljana Jankovic, initiated by individuals from political structures and members of the media profession close to them, TV Most reported today.
A public lynch and threats with a lawsuit, represent an undoubtable pressure on the TV Most and Editor-in Chief of the most viewed and the most influential Serbian media in Kosovo and Metohija, TV Most reported.
“Our colleague was brutally attacked and that is why we request that journalists’ associations decisively stand up in her defense. It is also condemnable and public marking of a TV Most over publishing one news with an inappropriate headline on the website, which has been changed after an appropriate remark.
The article published on the Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) website, under the headline “Ljljana Jaknovic: Inappropriate headline and failure of TV Most, we will correct mistake,” is an example of the most notorious slandering journalism and bullying attempt to discredit, something that one serious journalist association must fight against.
We warn, once more, that the UNS is getting more often, also in this situation, instrumentalized by some individuals from Kosovo and Metohija, who are using once reputable journalist association to wage private wars and conduct personal revenges due to political or some other motives.
We remind the public that on several occasions we announced the fact that the TV spots aired during the election campaign in Kosovo and Metohija in October last year, are not TV Most production and are aired only in paid election programmers,” TV Most reported.
