Drecun on Ivanovic murder, UN SG report, Special Court (BETA, RTS)
Chairperson of the Serbian Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun told Serbian media he does not believe Pristina would resolve the murder of Oliver Ivanovic.
Drecun said he does not believe Pristina “would come out with real information” which, according to him would close the room for speculations.
He also commented on the statement of the Kosovo President Hashim Thaci that the murder is not ethnically motivated, saying Thaci could say something like that only after the investigation is concluded, Serbian media reported.
Commenting on the latest UN SG report on Kosovo, Drecun said it is evident that Pristina is facing setbacks, there is no respect for human and fundamental rights, while the crime is flourishing, RTS reported.
“We are entering a phase when Pristina would come to realize nothing is over yet, they do not have a statehood they promote that much, but they would need to deliver on commitments and sit down with Serbia and continue talking,” Drecun said.
Speaking about Special Court, he said it is a matter of time when the first indictments would be raised, and Serbia expects it will happen in the coming months.
