Jovic: At least three of them kicked me with boots and riffle (Danas)
Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Zeljko Jovic who sustained injuries during the arrest of Marko Djuric, told Danas daily “it was not an intervention, but a mere attack in a terrorist style, that much brutal they have not speared women and journalists either.”
He added, his main impression during ROSU raid was their brutality, nasty attitude and violation of all procedures. He absolutely opposed the stance of the Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, who termed the police action as very professional, saying that what ROSU did is far from any professionalism, Danas daily reported further.
“I had the strength and courage to look straight into their eyes and I did not allow them to bend my head down to the floor. I can tell you, you could see fear among them,” Jovic told Danas daily.
“I was not kicked by one man, at least three of them kicked me with boots and a riffle. I am not saying I sustained catastrophic injuries, but the fact is left part of my body was paralyzed for more than half an hour, as a consequence of the attack. Still, Nenad Rikalo suffered the heaviest injuries and he is still in intensive care in Mitrovica hospital,” Jovic said, Danas daily reported.
