Tasic pleaded not guilty (KIM Radio)
Chair of the Basic Court Council in Prizren, Artan Sejrani hold a first hearing for accused Darko Tasic from Mala Krusa, KIM Radio reported.
EULEX international prosecutor read an indictment accusing Tasic of committing two acts of war crime, while Tasic pleaded not guilty to the charges.
“Darko’s indictment is perhaps the last one raised by the EU rule of law mission, and as such represents a sorrow end of EULEX. The acts Tasic is charged with are not incriminated as a war crime, therefore I expect that Prizren court after examining evidence would set my client free,” lawyer Dejan A. Vasic told KIM Radio.
According to the indictment, Tasic allegedly committed crimes in the period from 25 to 27th March 1999. He, as a reserve member of Yugoslav Army was charged of taking part in looting and burning down a house of the Hajdari family in Mala Krusa, and that he also took part in burning down and drowning corpses of murdered Albanians to the River Drim, KIM Radio reported.
