Demolished Perovic house in the village of Medragovac near Podujevo (KIM radio, Vecernje Novosti)
The household of Perovic, the only Serbian household in the village of Medragovac near Podujevo, on the administrative line of the municipalities of Podujevo, Medvedja and Kursumlija was demolished and looted, while the Albanians from the neighbouring village, as reported to the Kosovo police on Sunday, interrupted the flow of water and electricity to the house of Radisav (77) and Milica Perovic (74), write Vecernje Novosti.
Namely, according to their son Goran Perovic, a completely devastated household was found on Sunday afternoon when his parents returned home from Medvedja where they were treated.
Otherwise, as Perovic's house is located on the administrative line of Kosovo and Serbia, members of these and other families who had lived in the village until recently had been subjected to frequent arrests by the Kosovo police for allegedly illegal crossings of the administrative line, reports the daily.
- Since there is no official administrative passage in our village, every step we take is risky; if we go to the graveyard on the other side of the "line" it turns out that we have committed a violation, or if we come from Medvedja road, and we do not have another road except on the other side of Podujevo, and which we do not use since 1999 - some of the villagers once spoke.
