Leposavic: 18-year-old Palestinian drowned in the Ibar River (Kossev)
An 18-year-old ethnic Palestinian died yesterday, most likely by drowning in the Ibar River near the village of Kamenica in the Leposavic municipality, reports Kossev.
The young man was found in a vehicle which had been reported as stolen in the Zvecan municipality earlier the day.
“Today at around 13:40, a police patrol from Leposavic noticed a passenger car on the Ibar river bank in Kamenica – a white Volkswagen Golf with KM license plates. For the time being, we assume that the vehicle probably travelled from Zvecan in the direction of Leposavic before landing in the river. We assume that the vehicle was driven by the Palestinian man,” Hoti told Kossev.
Doctors who examined the body described the death as “nonviolent”, while the case was registered as public traffic endangerment. The forensic team from Pristina took the body for autopsy.
