Mogherini meets Balkans leaders: “Nothing spectacular should be expected” (Prva TV, B92)
EU High Representative would meet today in Brussels leaders from the Western Balkans, Prva TV reports.
Presidents of Serbia, Kosovo and Montenegro, Aleksandar Vucic, Hashim Thaci and Milo Djukanovic as well as prime ministers of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia, Rama, Zvizdic and Zaev are invited to attend the meeting.
Suzana Grubjesic Secretary General of the European Movement in Serbia told Prva TV it is an informal meeting, however, significant as it shows the EU is concerned about the situation in the region and Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
“One should not expect anything spectacular out of that meeting, but it is a good sign that the EU cares about the region and stability. The format of dialogue will not change, and we learnt that from a letter Mogherini sent to Ramush Haradinaj,” Grubjesic said, adding the dialogue would be led by Aleksandar Vucic and Hashim Thaci.
“The dialogue must continue, it is generally known and accepted fact. The only question is when this will happen,” Grubjesic concluded.
