Serbia’s FM Dacic: Kosovo and EU will be Belgrade priorities in 2019 (N1, Beta, RTS)

Ivica Dacic, the Foreign Minister of Serbia, said on Monday his country’s political priorities this year would be the Kosovo issue and the negotiating process on joining the European Union, the Beta news agency reported.

Dacic said Belgrade would not give up its commitment to the dialogue with Pristina and the search for a compromising solution which would lead to a comprehensive, long-lasting and stable solution.

"Serbia remains dedicated to the international law principles,” he said.
“We are in favour of a deal with Pristina, but we will strongly react to every single action they take if it is not agreed upon, as you would do,” Dacic told the diplomats in Belgrade.

Belgrade did not retaliate after Pristina introduced the 100 percent import duties on goods from Serbia and Bosnia in November, despite an economic forecast saying the country's GDP will drop from 0.5 to 0.7 percentage points.

Dacic said Serbia would continue with the reforms on its European path and would remain militarily neutral but would contribute to the EU and UN operations and missions through the Partnership for Peace programme with NATO.
