Dacic: US more than others interested in compromise (RTS)

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic told RTS he is not surprised that Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz used the meeting with US President Donald Trump to discuss about Kosovo and Metohija. Speaking for RTS morning news edition Dacic noted that the US more than other partners is interested in finding the lasting solution to the Kosovo and Metohija issue, which is in relation to a change in their stance and reflected in a manner that Kosovo is no longer a closed issue for them. Dacic underlined that a compromise is wanted and that any agreement would be a political plus for the US. On the other side, Dacic added Austria also said it supports a compromise solution, although they are not thrilled by some ideas, however they would support them if acceptable to the both sides. Speaking about Pristina tariffs Dacic said there is obstruction by some European states that are not interested to resolve this issue to the end due to the European elections, but also some from other states that do not have the leading role in the dialogue. Asked by journalist if it is about Great Britain and Germany, Dacic responded he could say it is about both, but also some other less influential states.
