Serbian FM says some European countries preventing agreement on Kosovo (TV N1, BETA, B92)
Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic accused “some European countries” of trying to prevent a quick agreement over Kosovo.
Dacic did not specify which countries he claimed are playing games because they don’t want to see Belgrade and Pristina reach an agreement quickly, adding that he does not believe the United States are playing that game.
He told reporters in Belgrade he is looking forward to a visit by a US delegation, headed by State Department official David Hale, because it will be an opportunity to pass on Serbia’s views.
They can solve the problem with Pristina, and we’ll move on, he said and added that Kosovo must unblock the negotiation process by revoking the 100 percent tariffs on Serbian goods. Dacic also noted he is deeply offended by the view Serbia should stop lobbying that countries withdraw their recognition of Kosovo.
