Djindjic would today stand with Vucic, SNS official claims (Kurir, Tanjug, B92)
Goran Vesic said the Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, who was assassinated in 2003, would today stand with President Aleksandar Vucic. Vesic is a member of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Presidency and former senior official.
"Djindjic would be on the side where the problems are being solved and the things he dreamed about are being done. To put it clearly, he would be with Vucic," Vesic said.
In an interview with the tabloid Kurrir, carried by Tanjug, Vesic - who is today a Belgrade City official - explained that Djindjic would be "the one who is negotiating about Serbia's EU membership, on the side of those carrying out economic and social reforms, those who are fighting for every foreign investment, for new jobs and for a Serbia that is again respected in the international community."
According to him, Djindjic "would be with the one who boldly opened the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, like he had done in 2002, knowing that any waiting means further moving out of Serbs."
