Milojevic: Yet another form of pressure on Serbian List and its candidates (TV Most)
TV Most reports on Monday that Self-determination Movement has announced it would vote against proposal and candidates of the Serbian List, unless there is a concrete evidence that “Serbian candidates will respect the constitutional order in Kosovo”.
They have explained that participation of Serbian List candidates at the elections to be held on May 19 cannot be confirmed if eight of the nine members of the Central Election Commission do not vote for them.
Srđan Milojevic, Program Coordinator of local NGO Advocacy Center for Democratic Culture told TV Most that this can be understood as another form of pressure on the Serbian List and Serbian candidates.
“There is no basis in the legislation for such a request-that they are asked to confirm their commitment to any institution,” Milojevic said, adding that Serbian List’s candidates have regularly submitted all applications and complied with the legal procedure for participation in the elections.
