Serbia’s and NATO generals discuss situation in Kosovo (Beta, N1)

The Army of Serbia Chief-of-Staff, general Milan Mojsilovic and the Commander of NATO Allied Joint Force (JFC) in Naples Admiral James Foggo discussed on Wednesday the current security situation in Kosovo and the participation of Serbia's army in the NATO Partnership for Peace programme, the Beta news agency reported.

According to Serbia’s Ministry of Defence statement, in the meeting in the NATO JFC's headquarters in Naples, the two have also talked about the cooperation since that Command is in charge of the international forces in Kosovo, KFOR.

Mojsilovic said KFOR was the only legitimate armed force in Kosovo which, as he put it, should guarantee peace and security to Serb population there.

He also visited the NATO Strategic Direction South Hub information centre, and his hosts presented him with the essential information about the current JFC activities in the Balkans, Iraq and the Southern Wing, the statement said.
