Todic: The announced arrests will not frighten us (Srpski Telegraf)
“After the convincing triumph of Serbian List representatives in the elections, Pristina’s authorities will try to bring fear and insecurity among the Serbs in the southern province with additional pressures” said Zoran Todic, newly elected mayor of Leposavic told portal Srpski Telegraf.
He pointed out that Pristina was trying to break Serbian unity, and in recent months.
“They were putting enormous pressure on everyone, we all know very well about the politically mounted process against the Vice President of Serbian List Milan Radoicic, and there was the dismissal of two ministers from our List. The Law on Trepca was adopted, tariffs were imposed, the Law on formation of the Army of Kosovo was enacted. All those decisions are the decision of unreasonable authorities in Pristina, which are directed against the survival of Serbian people in Kosovo. Nowadays, there is the announcement of a plan of arrest of some police officers and more prominent Serbs from the north, aimed at bringing additional anxiety and insecurity among us”, Todic says.
Todic added that “all these years that are behind us, the life of Serbian people was not simple at all. The representatives of the Serbian List are determined to continue to protect our people in Kosovo in cooperation with the state and President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic. We proved this on Sunday - once again the unity of Serbs and determination to protect and preserve our homes were demonstrated”.
