The international community must respect the electoral will of the Serbian people in Kosovo, Chairperson of the Serbian National Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija Milovan Drecun said, TV Most reports. Drecun added that the joint statement of Quint member states on mayoral elections in the four northern Kosovo municipalities is an attempt to undermine and diminish the results that Srpska Lista have achieved.

Drecun noted Srpska Lista is inseparably linked with Serbia and official Belgrade and Serbian people in the north of Kosovo sent a message that no one shall divide them, adding it bothers the Quint member states the most.

According to Drecun, elections in the north prevented possibility that an Albanian is elected as a mayor of the northern part of Mitrovica, given earlier announcements of Albanians on the unification of the southern and northern Mitrovica.
